And we're on the downhill (the good downhill - like when you've been running uphill for 20 minutes and suddenly, AHH...down the hill you go).
Compared to 2 weeks ago today, we're getting better. Lincoln has consistently been throwing less tantrums and I am continuing to learn how to better accommodate the ones he does in fact engage in.
Maybe all that mess was a molar? I've peeked and have been able to account for 3 of them (never got around to looking for the 4th in fear of my fingers being chopped off). So that doesn't seem likely...
Maybe he wasn't feeling well? Possibly.
All the changes suddenly hitting him? Maybe.
And since the past few weeks have resulted in leaving him with nursery workers a total of 6 times (all of which started in agony for the child), today's report after my 2 hour Bible study MADE ME SMILE.
I dropped him off in tears, but picked him up in an AMAZING mood! The 2 nursery workers spent the next few minutes telling how much they enjoyed him and that he was a hilarious child (yes, I know!). Apparently they talked about farm animals today, and got a kick out of his "pig" sound. They asked him what sound a pig makes and they said he called the hogs. :) That's my boy!
They also said when they colored, he knew ALL of his colors and asked for them by name!! I know he's been getting way better at this, but I was excited it really is sticking in all environments!
He gave each of the workers a kiss on the cheek, a hug, and a wave bye-bye before we took off to find "Noah??!!" He will never let me leave Noah anywhere.
Anyway, these past few days Lincoln has been back to his fun-loving, comedic, extroverted self and I am thankful for it! Obviously he'll have his ups and downs and I will still be thankful in those, but it's comforting to see him having a solid sense of security again for the time being.
Love this boy :)

When Nicholas was a baby, he had a wonderful sweet babysitter.. I watched how she taught her young girls and I wanted to be a Mom like her... I asked her the secret... She said to always whisper when you are the most angry and then your children will really listen.. You know the old saying... when you want to capture someones attention....WHISPER... i used this technique with my boys and it really worked...It was also very beneficial in public, because you don't yell and your children really listen... I see you are trying this technique and I want to say... Way to Go Melissa... It really works. Vivian
