Pregnancy and Some Favorites

This will probably be un-interesting to most, but feel free to keep reading if you please. :)
Here's what's on the agenda:

Pregnancy Update
I'm 27 weeks, and have exactly 3 months until I get to meet my precious sweet little girl (granted I get to induce a week before my due date). The past two weeks have been rough to say the least, and I'm pretty sure I am anemic. I have taken steps to battle this the past 2 days which have seemed to help. But on top of that, I have not been able to sleep at night without waking up every half hour for a week now (which has started taking its toll), and I've had sinus issues pretty non-stop. The aches and pains are also worse this pregnancy, BUUTTTT I feel her moving constantly which makes me grateful in the midst of feeling yuck. Nonetheless, I'm ready to meet her!

Current Favorite Things

This DVD is amazing. It was recommended to me, to let Lincoln watch next year before he does pre-school. But instead of waiting until next year, I found it super cheap on Amazon, and play it in the car when we go to games and such. It's suppose to teach letters/sounds in a fun way. He's watched it in the car for a week now (and LOVES it), and last night I thought I'd test it out with him by testing his alphabet. You guys, I started at "A" and he knows the WHOLE DANG THING. He knows the sound that every letter makes and the letters themselves (except he still has trouble making the "L" sound). I was shocked. And it's made him obsessed with letters and sounds when we go through our day. Love this thing and will be buying their other teaching series.

My favorite moisturizer in college and still my favorite through winter/pregnancy. Love this stuff.

I know this is a popular book these days, and I'm loving it too. Refreshing truths in this thing.

Frozen mangos are probably my "pregnancy craving" right now...though I think I would crave them just the same if I weren't pregnant. You buy them frozen, leave them on the counter for about 1/2 hour to semi-thaw, then eat them half-frozen. Amazing.

Oh His Sweet Words

On this Valentine morning, I had a sweet heart-to-heart moment with my precious Lincoln.

We hugged and kissed, and I told him "Happy Valentine's Day!" by which he responded with an enthusiastic same response right back at me.

Then I said "Are you ALWAYS going to be my Valentine??"
He nodded emphatically with a smile.
I took it a step further...
"Are you always going to be my Valentine instead of those yucky other girls??"

He then died out laughing and goes, "HA!!! You're a yucky girl!! HAAAA!!!"
And then proceeded to come up to me multiple times throughout the morning calling me a "yucky girl" while laughing.

Epic fail.
That did not go as I had imagined in my head.

Oh well, Happy V-Day nonetheless!

I have a hot date date with my husband at the Fayetteville High School gym - promptly at 7:30pm. Gotta love basketball season (hey at least mine's dressing up in a suit for our date!!!).

Two Things

Today is the official first snow day of the year, and probably the last - which I'm totally okay with after last winter! Plus, with Adelynn coming in May, getting out of school (for Jason) mid-May instead of mid-June this year sounds fantastic.
We plan to go play in a bit - the toddlers aren't going to let me avoid that one - but for now, finishing up breakfast and laundry is underway.

Oh and I guess writing a blog. :)

I thought I'd share 2 things: first is a picture I'm in love with of my mom and Lincoln (we took it last night).

And next, I've talked with a few people about my treadmill regime recently and thought I'd post what I do. I'm a treadmill girl. Never been one for classes or any other machine. Either the pavement or treadmill. When I'm not pregnant, I run, but while being pregnant, I've chosen to do my "walking" routine. I've done this interval routine since college and when I'm running, I have a "running version" of it. It switches it up, definitely works up a sweat, and (most importantly) makes the time pass faster since you're changing inclines every minute. So thought I'd share in case you're up for a new routine!

Happy Birthday Noah!!!!

2 years ago today, sweet little Noah Jackson made his arrival! He came out completely silent and blue (which was scary!), but soon turned pink and let out a little cry. :)

For the first two weeks, all he did was sleep...it was hard to wake him and even get him to eat. And he has been a phenomenal sleeper ever since - praise the Lord!

He loves his big brother, and the feeling is mutual since Lincoln can probably not even remember life without him (Lincoln was only 15 months old when Noah was born).

Noah has some introverted-ness running in his blood, loves to snuggle, and has a hard time being away from mommy, daddy, and Lincoln. However, in the past few months or so, leaving mom and dad has gotten much easier - as long as Lincoln is still with him. :)

His once introverted personality has recently shown signs of much more extroverted traits. Not sure if this is just a normal progression that would have happened eventually or if his extremely extroverted big brother is rubbing off on him! Either way, he is stinking hilarious these days!

His vocabulary is probably the most exceptional skill about him. He talks mostly in complete, short sentences and blows us away with the things he says and how articulate he can be. We figure Lincoln has played a part in that one, too.

I think Noah is going to be our singer! He loves to sing and has for some time. (Lincoln still remains our dancer - ha).

Noah does NOT like changes or transitions. He is definitely stubborn and has his specific preferences!

His favorite 2 books right now are "Brow Bear, Brown Bear" and "The Little Mouse & the Red, Ripe Strawberry".

As far as sleeping goes, as I mentioned earlier - he's a champ. By this age, Lincoln was in a big boy bed because he kept crawling from his crib.
Not Noah.
He is perfectly content in his snug little nook, sleeps until 9:00am, naps from 2-5, and goes to bed around 9:30 (yes we have odd schedules around here during basketball season). And he is the most hyper and hilarious from about 8-9:30. :)

Noah memorized his first Bible verse this month with the motions and all. Precious.

Unfortunately today on his birthday, he is one day 2 of a pretty high fever. Poor guy. So we had a birthday doc appointment in order...blah. He was laying on our bed watching a show, and I just went in to check on him to find him sound asleep, clinging to his veggie tale balloon.
