Maybe some day I'll go back into the field of mental health, but for now I am incredibly excited about this new phase in life God has so graciously made available for us! I hope to get more involved in ministry and continue pursuing my passion for missions with my boys in the next few years...but most of all I am looking forward to these precious years with the people I love most - devoting all time and energy into being a woman of God, a loving wife, and a passionate mother.

This is It
After close to 10 years of working in the mental health field in areas ranging from psychiatric hospitals, residential facilities and group homes in California to therapeutic day treatments and school-based services here in Arkansas, today I leave it all behind...for this:
Yes...forget the B.A. in Psychology, the partial Ph.D. training and the two Master's degrees in Marriage & Family Therapy and Counseling...I now gladly, and proudly will answer the question "So, what is it you do?" with a smile and the response, "I'm a stay-at-home MOM."

You will never regret it! You are embarking on the most important career you will ever have....
Being a Mom to your sweet boys..... How exciting. But you know I will miss you terribly... Keep in touch Melissa! I love you!

As you know I have been a stay-at-home mom for a long time. It is great. I hope you enjoy every minute of it, because they grow really quickly.
However, as a word of advice, make time for you away from your spouse and your kiddos. It will help you be a better mom when you return. Have fun.
So glad that you are able to do this, Melissa! I'm sure it is surreal to move forward after you have invested so much in one particular field, but I think you'll adjust quite nicely! :)
It is definitely a change and requires adjustment as any change does but it has been one of the most amazing blessings I've ever been given. To be home and watch them grow and play and have fun with them is amazing.
Definitely take the advice given and make time for just yourself so you can return to being a jungle gym and chef with full spirits.
It will truly be the most demanding but rewarding job you will ever do!
I'm so excited for you. That's wonderful! Enjoy your babies!
