Though I need to explain something on this one. You see, ever since I was in Junior High, I have been a runner and avid fitness fanatic. I never missed a day of working out and have always eaten healthy my whole life. And for the 5 years I lived in California, this increased even more so. I mean, when you wake up in So.Cal every morning and step outside, the environment is literally screaming "Please come running today!". On the weekends I would do long runs from Huntington Beach down to Laguna Beach and back, ending at the fresh market alongside the Huntington peer. Glorious.
Then I moved to Arkansas to finish up graduate school and oh.my.goodness. running was no longer fun, but tedious and somewhat tortuous compared to the backdrop I had previously.
So to spurn my motivation I felt slipping from beneath me, my sister and I decided to train for the LA marathon since I would be going back. A goal. Great idea.
About a month into training, I got my first bout of kidney stones and found myself in the hospital. Setback to say the least (and because since these were my first, I thought I was dying and my body was shutting down for a week). Soon after "healing" (as those of you know who have had these wonderful things, you're never really healed), I then got my first ever sinus infection (welcome to Arkansas), followed by the stomach flu which I had not had since I was a child. Needless to say, my motivation for the marathon dwindled and so did my love for running, officially, as of about 1.5 years ago. I swore after I had Lincoln I would re-discover this love (because I do miss it!), but then I got pregnant again and decided it was a worthless cause. Now I still work out, but I don't love it like I used to and I long to be able to run 4 miles a day, 7 days a week (gosh I'd settle for five!) without feeling like my lungs are going to explode! I told Jason yesterday that after this little one is born, I WILL START AGAIN (running, that is) since we ARE NOT HAVING ANOTHER BABY FOR A WHILE. I promise (on the latter). Another kicker in this whole deal is I have always been a big gym person - and I like to go when it's crowded. There was always something comforting about knowing you're not the only one working out. And I would always challenge myself to go longer than the one next to me. In Siloam...no gyms. Bentonville? They have gyms and I'm excited. :)
Now here's the scary part. Since this pregnancy, so far every time I go on my walks or do any exercises, my right hip/side of my leg KILLS. Jason's been teaching me all of these stretches to help it, but I'm saying, I can't even bend down for the next 24 hours without pain. And then here in the next two days I've started having lower back pain. I'm hoping this is pregnancy related and not all my years of running punishing me.

I can almost assure you it's pregnancy related. You'll get your love of running back! With the twins, I had all sorts of crazy leg pain. But it went away, eventually. :) Let me know if you ever want to walk or anything! I'm always up for whatever! :)
I bet it is pregnancy. With my second pregnancy I had a ton of back pain and thought my uterus was going to fall out of well you get the picture. Was much better after giving birth. =)
