Yesterday after church (and the traditional 2-hour nap), Jason and I decided to start cleaning out the house, getting it ready to sell (or for the new baby's room - which ever comes first). Background information that is pertinent to this story includes the fact that my adorable, great husband takes up 80% of the closet space in our house (HOUSE - not just our closet). All of his suits and dress shirts consume the entire guest bedroom, of our drawer space, his clothes occupy 9/11 drawers, and in our closet alone, my clothes reside in only 3/7 spaces (who gets the top shelves in there? you guessed it: the 6'5 man).
So last night he decided to "consolidate" his clothes and make more space for the new baby and clear out clutter. And he sure did get on a roll. He worked for hours re-arranging and organizing. Now mind you, the man has an INSANE amount of basketball shorts and t-shirts...but his shoes more than quadruple the amount I have (sad, I know).
So as I'm folding clothes from all the laundry we did that day and preparing to put them all away, he says:
"Oh babe - let me show my new system (system??)..."
"When you put my clothes up, I now have separate shelves my basketball shorts need to be divided into...this shelf is for all Razorback shorts, this one for Bentonville shorts, and this one for all miscellaneous ones."
Seriously??? The only words that came to mind as I figured, "He must be joking...".
No folks. No jokes here.
In fact, he furthered to show me how he now had designated drawers for Razorback t-shirts, Bentonville t-shirts, plain t-shirts, and then all others...
And then it got worse.
I went to hang up some of his shirts (which are are also color-coordinated now) and he stopped me with a grin on his face as I reached to hang one on a plastic white hanger.
"Honey, do you see the pattern??" He said implying I was obviously doing something wrong.
"Um, I'm hanging your colored shirt with the rest of them...??? What's the problem??"
"Babe, these shirts all go on metal hangers...the white hangers are used for the shirts on the opposite rack now."
OH. MY. GOSH. are you SERIOUS!!!
So the remainder of the night was spent with me calling him a nerd and telling him I never new what a neurotic husband I had on my hands.

4 Days and Counting...Finally!!!
Here comes the countdown to my beautiful little sister's BIG DAY - the day where finally marries her junior high sweetheart and my senior prom date (ha - he was a good friend)...where she gets to start popping out little cousins for Lincoln and the mystery guy in my belly...where students loans are no longer paid by the parentals (I experienced this a couple of years ago)...where Jason and I will FOREVER get to have super fun double dates (they've been sporadic with these two over the years!)...where I no longer have to take up for my sister and threaten those that hurt her, cause she have her man to do all that dirty work (though don't get me wrong - I quite enjoyed it)...but most importantly, it's the day where I get to see my amazing sister continue on an incredibly journey that God has been so faithful to provide for her and Nathan and watch God use them both in mighty ways. What a good day it's going to be!
And here's the countdown:
Today - work, then head to the Fort for the evening with mom getting our nails done, shopping (I know, it's the Fort, but whatever), and some dinner
Thursday - doctor's appointment, work (the irrelevant things), then black/white BACHELORETTE PARTY!!! which will consist of dinner and party in our reserved room at Mohito's, then hitting up the infamous Dixon street (which hasn't been "hit-up" by me in what must be 20-something years)...pregnant lady + Bachelorette night should be interesting, and probably ending the night w/ me driving everyone home to Amy's house in the monster tank Expedition.
Friday - wake up and head to the Fort!!! Hang out with the in-laws and pass off the Mister Lincoln for the next 48 hours (they're in charge!), check into the hotel downtown, a little lunch and decorating, Rehearsal Dinner, and then off tot he town with the wedding party (tentative plans include Rib Room, Papa's, Karaoke, maybe a little Electric Cowboy??) - ha. should be REAL interesting.
Saturday - all the girly stuff, rehearsing two songs at the church with Stephen since he won't be there Friday night, pictures, then "da-da-da-da" (suppose to be the wedding song) - HERE WE GO!!!! Needless to say, I'm crazy excited. Fun times headed our way.

3 Month Appointment (with new baby!)
Today the ultrasound said I am 3 weeks, 1 day pregnant and the little monster (I mean "monster" in a cute, adorable way) is due February 14th - 4 days past when the ole doc predicts. These visits have their joyous moments (seeing the little thing) and the not-so-joyous ones (gyno exams - fun stuff). Fortunately for me, the doctor has yet to do the latter...and I'm not reminding him. :)
And then the details:
Blood Pressure - 90/66 (my blood apparently flows with little to none pressure)
Weight - up one pound (I stood in disbelief because I was CONFIDENT is was more like a 10-pound gain...thanks to good ole nighttime bloating).
And on to the baby (the important stuff):
I got the "high-tech" machine today - the one where the images are insanely vivid, in a fantastic, but kind-of-eerie way?? Score at today's visit. When he pulled up the images of the little one, the baby was going crazy - I mean literally GOING CRAZY. Swinging arms and legs, rolling around, moving head from side to side...Dr. Hill couldn't even get a good read on a heartbeat at first because the baby would move everytime! He kept saying, "Oh my gosh this is an unbelievably active baby!"
My first thought?
It must be a boy.
Dr. Hill laughed and responded saying we wouldn't be able to tell any of that for a couple of months.
And then it happened folks.
Completely unexpected.
Totally unpredictable.
Catching me and the doctor off guard (your doctor's not suppose to be caught off guard, EVER!).
One of the baby's poses suddenly consisted of the baby spreading his legs wide apart, perfect angle, clear-as-day image, making me and the doctor gasp and suddenly look at each other.
"Doctor Hill, does that mean it's a BOY??!!" I exclaimed pointing to the detailed screen.
He said he never sees it this early, but the little guy decided he wanted to show us ahead of schedule.
I asked the doc what percentage he was confident (expected around the 50's since it's SO early).
"97%," he said with a smile.
So that's it...more boys to fill the testosterone-laden McMahan house!!!! We're thrilled!!!!
And then the details:

Oops...Forgot My Favorite

And We Have a Crawler
The past few months have been full of vacations, concerts, wedding planning, wedding parties, friends, family, oh - and working there in-between (my favorite part of summer for sure)...and unfortunately, blogging has not been my forte. But I got a hold of some pictures tonight (some dating back to the vacation I found from the 4th of July) that I wanted to share about the above-mentioned events. If you read my blog, you know I'm a picture fanatic. Always have a camera in hand. :)
In updates, LINCOLN IS CRAWLING EVERYWHERE!!! And standing up (including in his crib - banging on the outside when he doesn't want to be in there), cruising down the couch, and balancing better and better on his own each day - I truly think those little independent steps are right around the corner. He definitely has some independence in his little bones. This has become much more evident in the past week. But with all these new changes come baby-proofing and, yes, disciplining. Sad day. Now the hard part of parenting begins (and never ends). :)

And the Coldplay concert with our good friends Jody and Michael. I didn't get many pictures there b/c I was too mesmerized (stupid excuse, I know - but it's true).
Saturday, a bunch of us girls went to the lake for a pre-bachelorette party, and then this past Sunday we spent in the Fort for church, lunch and Amy's wedding shower! It was so great to see people I literally haven't seen in ages!

One of My Many Loves
Those of you who know me (really, you only have to know me for 5 minutes to figure it out) know that I have a deep rooted obsession with Chris Martin's geniuos he displays in the everso talented musical mix they call COLDPLAY.
Yes, friends - I am a fan.
And after a year now of wondering (more like agonizing) whether or not I was going to MISS their Viva la Vida tour, thanks to their added shows, I have now had the absolute pleasure of seeing them in Dallas. Just the thought of not being able to see them when they're that close makes my skin tighten up and my eyes begin to well (patheitc I know, but did I mention I'm a fan?). And it was FAN-tastic. We had worse seats than in the past, but that's okay because Mr. Martin likes to jump into the depths of the crowd which happened to be close to us. :) Thanks Chris.
Here are some of my personal Top-10 highlights:
1. Chris making reference to J.Timberlake hair was pretty much hilarious.
2. Getting to hear the drummer Will play and sing! He's my favorite behind Chris, of course.
3. The personalized gig to the great state of Texas
4. The AMAZING performance of "In My Place" - maybe my favorite performance (even though "Lost" was my fav and fun to see from new album)
5. Added piano flair to dislpay Martin's genious
6. Chris getting out in the lawn (oh so close!), guitar ready, closing in with the mike, only to bust out "I kissed a girl and I liked it..." (don't worry, he immediately stopped and started laughing)
7. His evil face and hand guesture game he seemed to get a kick out of (those there know what I'm talking about)
8. FREE CD!!!! No joke: he gave out a free live cut to all the audience - and it's AWESOME! I've been listening to it non-stop. You can download it on their website.

Here We Go...Again
Okay. So I don't think I quite done the job of expressing just how huge these last few weeks have been for us...that is between thinking we know what lies ahead for us to having that completely blown into another direction, taking a new HUGE job, finding out I no longer have to work but can relaxingly stay at home with my little man...a lot of big changes for us, all ones that we are incredibly excited about and feel overwhelmingly blessed by God to have a chance at some of these new opportunities.
But perhaps there was also another "change" I have yet to discuss till now. A change that was also brewing in the midst of all the above...did I mention we had our next 5 years planned??? Scratch the planning folks, cause I now want to introduce you to something that keeping us consistent with the latest trend in our lives:
To backtrack, Jason came home from work (in Siloam) one day a couple of weeks ago and exclaimed with a smile on his face "Babe - I have some news for you!"
My response was "Funny, cause I have news for you..."
His, of course was that Bentonville had called and wanted to negotiate his coming there as head coach.
I smiled cause his surprise fit in perfectly with mine. So what was my surprise that day????
No joke people. I know it feels like two months ago I was as large as a barn, sweating and peeing out my ears, and waddling like a fat duck, but it's true. I'm pregnant AGAIN!
Now check out God's timing: We always said no matter what, when we had an other kid, we would MAKE IT WORK so that I could stay at home. And the same day I found out I was pregnant was the SAME day God made that work out with Jason 's new job. God is GOOOOOD!!!
And for those of you doing the math, our little tiger's will be 15 months apart. I like to consider it the best of having twins without having to carry them at the same time. :)
So here we go again!
